We are not alone in saying that motorsport dominates our lives, and in particular, historic and classic motorsport - mainly road and endurance.

It is always an enormous pleasure to see beautiful cars being well used rather than simply touring around the countryside looking pretty! For some years we have been associated with HERO - the Historic Endurance Rallying Organisation and have enjoyed the particular cameraderie and style of the events.

Competitive Road Rallying

There are few people still working in the rallying world today that can boast the level of experience that we have in the organisation of historic road rallies.

We have a hard-earned but justifiable reputation for creating events where routes are both challenging and exciting, often using roads that even experienced, much-travelled drivers have not previously encountered.

We pride ourselves that our attention to detail is second to none.

We have been producing tulip road books (see below) for competitive and touring events for many years, and are proud to say that they are rated as amongst the best in the business.

We prefer to produce road books from our own recce notes in order to be certain of maintaining a very high standard, but on occasions this may not be possible and in that case we will accept good quality recce notes from other sources.

What are 'Tulip Road books'?

The tulip style of navigation started way back on the Tulpen Rallye in the Netherlands over 50 years ago.

The route is indicated using simple diagrammatics whereby you start at the ball and follow the arrow - very simple!

Both total and intermediate distances are given: the example shows distances in kilometres and miles.

TRAINING FOR MOTORSPORT OFFICIALS

Marshals are key to any motor event; although it is possible to use modern technology to create time controls that don't have to be manned, it is an expensive, and therefore rather rare, ocurrence. The presence of marshals is also an important safety aspect on an event, and many a competitor will have tales of how their event would have ended if not for the assistance of marshals along the way.

We have been training MSA marshals and officials for a number of years and carry that experience through to guiding those involved in historic motorsport. We are available to assist with any training programmes an organiser may wish to implement.

Over the years we have provided group and one-to-one navigation training for novice and less experienced competitors which has been very well received. We believe that our in-depth knowledge of event organisation helps to give competitors a better understanding of how an event works, and a different perspective on what a competitor can expect!
